Scrap-sewing

I have been thinking of what to do with my small scrappies

then I found this hexagon templates

at Quiltbiten one day

and I decided to try this

I didn´t think that I would like

hand-sewing

hmmmm!!!

but it was fun

this is my first little flower

Now I have something more to do in front of the TV

Just a short update

no photos today

I went to work on Monday and Tuesday

but I wasn´t popular

on Tuesday I had to make an appointment

with my doctor

pneumonia!! :(((

antibiotics for 10 days

but hopefully I`m fit for fight on Saturday

going to Dalarna and visit some quilting friends

Another package

last year I joined Dawn´s PIF

today the gifts arrived

and when I opened it........................

Barbeque

believe it or not

not - if I look out the window now

but yes we had a barbeque yesterday

it was sunny and really warm

found some burgers in the freezer

yummy

and now, today

it is snowing

I have been waiting , waiting, waiting

for some fabrics I bought from USA.

Friday I found out that the postoffice have had one of the packages more than 2 weeks

they had forgott to send me a note about it

the same day the other one arrived

but they had found their way to me via the custom at Arlanda

First Cours by Tara Reed and Garden Song by Nancy Halvorssen

I love all fabrics by NH

these come from Rossville Quilts a new shop to me

the Caterwauling prints and the mix come from

Tranquility Quilts and fabric shop also new to me

I can recommend them both

Extreme makeover

not of me

but I feel like I need one

I have now been home from work 5 days

and this cold really make me feel

grey :(

a makeover would be nice

no.....

we have done some makeover

in our bathroom, sauna and laundry room downstairs

today we don´t have any sauna

we have never used it during this 10 years we lived here

so if anybody needs a heating device (bastuaggregat) for a sauna

you are welcome to pick it up for free:)))

instead we have a guesttoilet and a new laundryroom.

Log Cabin Hidden star

is the name of this quilt

I started and finished the top

when I was at Quiltcamp,
november last year

but now finally it´s quilted and finished

I used one jellyroll of the Crazy Eight collection by Sandy Gervais

and fleece on the backside so it´s really warm and cosy

the pattern did I find in the book

Jelly Roll Quilts by the Lintotts

(I like this name because lintotte in Swedish is a little blond child)

Confession

I have to make a confession!!!!

Springtime is getting closer

It has been a great weekend

we have finally seen the sun

yipeeee!!!

Inside it lightened me sewing-room

as you can see on my quilttop

being prepared to be quilted

Outside

some of the snow is gone

but there are a lot of it left

Drip, drop, drip, drop........

I love that sound outside my room

When spring is coming

it´s much more fun to sew

made of some scraps

originally it was in pink and white colours

but I choosed yellow and black instead

Finally I´ve made something

Yesterday the snow was melting

4 degrees plus is much better than -28

as it was some days ago

Totally we have got about 3meters of snow

today some more arrived

from our neighbours garage

Wonder, if the bushes survive this winter

Finally the last trembling days of February

I manage to sew some things

First here is my version of Lizzan´s nyckelgömma (for my keys)

and here to wallhangers

and these were in fact finished for Valentine day

and finally two pillows in logcabin-pattern

In the last minute......

did I finished my last project

for January

and that was the crazy curve quilt

that I started on last Sunday

I have used parts of the fabric collection Iced Mocha

and I think it turned out quite well

this is gonna have it´s place in my office at work

Busy weekend

I had a lot to do this weekend

it started with a meeting with my

quiltfriends "Quiltkramarna"

I decided to make a wallhanger

for my office at work

since I work at a diary

I looked for a pattern with a cow

and found an AnnaKa pattern

the original is a tablerunner

I finished it today

and here is the picture

Then on Sunday I had a class at Quiltbiten

to learn how to sew this

with crazy curve-templates

very funny to make

and much more easy to make than I thought it would

then rest of the weekend did I spent

cleaning out the bathroom downstairs

we gonna start renovating this week

Friday Night sew in 2

I promised a picture

my oldest DD´s birthdayquilt

ready to quilt

It´s a pattern from " Tyger och tings " (in english "Fabrics and things") book

"Tyger blir ting" (in english "Fabrics become things")

and I bought a kit from the same store

I made the quilt larger with 1 broad border, to fit a doublebed

This is how it looked Friday night

and today have I done a lot of freehand quilting

Yesterday I tried to update my blog and tell you that I joined

but I have had some troubles again with my blog
